Each year Britain see's on average 30,000,000 ink cartridges and laser toners sent to land fill sites, As you can imagine this isn't doing out environment to much good!
We at Ink and Paper Direct are a bit eco friendly, and we're trying to make a difference to the environment, and we think our customers should too!
Since 2010 Ink and Paper Direct has taken some initiative changes towards our manufacturing side of Laser Toners and Inkjet Cartridges, and we can now see the following changes:
- Our Remanufactured Toners and Inkjet Cartridges are now made from 75% Recycled Parts.
- Our Compatible Range of Inkjet Cartridges and Laser toners are now made from 43% Recycled plastic resins
- Our Inkjet Cartridges and Laser Toners all have a max capacity, meaning fewer supplies are needed to be purchases to meet printing demands.
- Our package in now made from 100% Recycled materials.
We are also now proud to introduce our recycle program, Each and every time we send out a order there will now be a recycling bag within the parcel.
All we ask from our customers is to pop your old used ink cartridges and toners in the bag, seal it up and pop it in the post, Don't worry the postage is completely free of charge and already paid for!
But where do the cartridges go that you recycle? Well we send all the cartridges that have be recycled by you guys straight back to our manufacturing plant to be re-used again, helping us to supply you once again with our high quality, environmentally friendly inks and toners!
A Few of our customers have asked us "But I’ve been told you can only re-use a cartridge 4 or 5 times before it becomes useless." Well this is partially correct; the only part of the cartridge that has a shelf life is the ink or toner inside the cartridge, and the chip itself. But here at Ink and Paper Direct our manufactures duplicate the chips with fresh software guaranteeing that the cartridge is sure to register when placed within your printer, The chip itself is one of the very few parts we don't recycle as it's the best way we can guarantee a product that is sure to work.
